Brooklyn Brownstone
This vibrant gut renovation is a Park Slope townhouse for a creative family of four. The ground floor living areas were completely closed off from the beautiful natural light and the garden patio. The interior of the home were all opened to allow natural light to flow from the front windows through to the back garden. An open kitchen and dining area was created as well as a cozy family room. New french glass doors and windows were added to open up to the garden patio. A ground floor bathroom and hidden laundry/storage room was also added. Having owned the house for many years, it was important to the family to preserve some of the original details of their home. The warm wood staircase was refurbished rather than replaced. The furniture and lighting are designed with the goal of bringing a warm but modern aesthetic to the home. The combination of color and materials is both inviting and bold.
