Greenwich Village Apartment
This New York City apartment is an amazing conversion of a dark, dated apartment into a bright, colorful home for a family of four in the wonderful neighborhood of Greenwich Village.
The original kitchen was dark and enclosed, plastered with antiquated tiling, veneer cabinetry, and fluorescent lighting. The wall separating the kitchen from the living and dining space was demolished to create an open living plan. The use of beautiful marble countertops with a full slab for the kitchen-island set the tone of the classic and bright kitchen. A built-in bar and wine storage were great additions and a new spacious entryway that leads you into the home.
Both bathrooms received a complete makeover from custom vanities to bold, colorful tiling for the kids bathroom and tasteful mosaics in grays and whites for the master bath. A fun space is carved out for the two young children off the living room for a fun, bright play space.
