Art Deco on the UWS
This apartment is the combination of two apartments in an historic Art Deco apartment building in New York City. The beautiful features of the Art-Deco apartment were restored including the iron-work windows, beamed and cove ceilings, sunken living room and original oak flooring. The living area is opened to the dining room and kitchen for a sweeping, spacious feeling letting the light from the large ironwork windows to reach the front door. The pre-war detailing are re-created with the use of restored light fixtures and cabinetry, and the use of subway tiles, and blackened brass accents. A fun and great use of space are created with niches and bookshelves creatively placed in walls and around doors.
