Art Deco on the UWS
This apartment is the combination of two studio apartments in an Art Deco apartment building in New York City. The beautiful features of the Art-Deco apartment were restored including the iron-work windows, beamed and cove ceilings, sunken living room and original oak flooring. The living area is open to the dining room and kitchen for a sweeping, spacious feeling letting the light from the large ironwork windows to reach the front door. The pre-war feeling was re-created with the use of restored light fixtures and cabinetry, and the use of subway tiles, and blackened brass accents. Storage was added to every possible place in order to maximize the space including bookshelves and niches.
