NYC Historic Broadway Residence
This lovely prewar apartment is one of the first apartment buildings built on Broadway, New York City. A beautiful Landmark building both inside and out. Careful detail was made on all the original moldings, flooring and entranceways. As much was kept from the original 1900 apartment as was possible.
The moldings were recast where missing and as many rebuilt and recreated from the original pieces.
Marble, stone, tiles and finishes were considered in their Gilded Age Architectural setting. But the furnishings and new lighting reflects the beautiful taste of the clients. The background of the apartment is a canvas for their artwork and sculptures.
The collaboration between architect and client was seamless and the renovation reflects this as finishes flow with furnishings. Each room is designed separately but works perfectly as you pass through each part of the apartment.
